 背景

  王黎明教授生、长于中国。1982年初大学毕业后分配至原中华人民共和国商业部工作,并于1986年任副处长。1988年赴英国谢菲尔德哈勒姆大学商学院研修工商管理硕士课程,1995年毕业于英国女王大学,获经济学博士学位。1996年至2005年期间,于英国女王大学农业与食品经济系任研究员、中国部主任及农业与食品经济系高级研究员。
2006年,王黎明教授在都柏林大学创建了爱尔兰第一个关于中国的研究机构 —‘爱尔兰中国研究院’及第一所孔子学院。从2006年至今,任爱尔兰都柏林大学中国研究院院长兼孔子学院院长。
王黎明教授2013年初被聘为北京市海聚人才及特聘专家,于北京工业大学经济管理学院任兼职教授。其校外任职还包括爱尔兰中国研究会会长、欧洲中国经济学会的秘书长、爱尔兰国际贸易学院校董、美思能再生能源公司独立董事(2011-2014)、国际期刊《中国经济与商务研究》杂志的编辑等。
