HSK Pre-test Training Course

  HSK Level 1- Level 6 Course Introduction   The HSK test is a test for learners who do not speak Chinese as their first language. It tests Chinese language skills for communication in everyday life, learning and business activities, and are series of standardized tests.   HSK Pre-test Trainingcourses are aimed at meeting the needs of all types of people who intend on sitting the examination. . We offer training courses from HSK level1 to level 6.   The course includes listening, reading comprehension and writing, with an emphasis on teaching test-taking skills and strategies to achieve better results in the exam. The course focuses on the Chinese language expression ability of participants through comprehensive language teaching. It is an intensive language-training course, aimed at progressing the logical application of Chinese, as well as achieving a higher level of verbal skills, written skills and good results in the HSK test.   Course objectives   1.To strengthen knowledge through the new HSK outlines, covering vocabulary, grammar, and sentence patterns and supporting learning development, ensuring students’ preparation for the new HSK exam. .  2.To provide training on the basics of Chinese language learning to more specialized subjects, explaining in detail the difficult and most important aspects of the test. ; 3. Experienced teachers summarize the best test-taking skills and strategies; 4. For teachers who have already mastered the pedagogy in Irish schools but do not have sufficient knowledge of Chinese language and culture, this course will provide them with the opportunity to develop and enhance their competence in teaching Chinese language and culture in schools.Any teachers who are qualified to teach in schools in Ireland, or who are interested in working in a relevant areaand have passed the entry examination for this course held by Irish Institute for Chinese Studies at UCD are eligible to apply for this course.   Duration   1 year part-time   Qualification Awarded   For the students who have successfully completed the programme, an award GPA is calculated and a professional diploma in Teaching Chinese Language and Culture in School is awarded.   Awarding Institution/Body   Irish Institute for Chinese Studies at UCD in conjunction with UCD Confucius Institute for Ireland   Entry requirements   This programme is designed for those who hold a teaching qualification for teaching in secondary schools or whoare interested in working in a relevant areaand have passed the entry examination which is equivalent to Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) level 2 or above and grasp 300 Chinese characters(click here to see details). All applicants who meet these criteria are eligible for consideration for an offer.    HSK for Diploma   Fees   €2,985   Scholarships   Students can apply for the scholarship provided by the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) which will partially cover your tuition fees.   Curriculum   This one-year part time course comprises three modules:    Teaching Chinese Language and Culture I (semester 1) Teaching Chinese Language and Culture II (semester 2) Chinese Teaching Methodology and Practice I (semester 3)   Career   This programme will introduce you to the knowledge and competences required to successfully deliver a Chinese language and culture course in schools. Enrolment Information Dublin Confucius Class for Children, founded in 2016, has grown into a large, professional centre for Chinese language and culture learning in Ireland. It provides a wide range of Chinese courses all year long.  They focus on teaching Mandarin, Pinyin (i.e., Chinese phonics) and Hanzi (i.e., Chinese characters) by enhancing students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Introductions and experiences of various aspects of Chinese culture are also provided throughout the courses.     Dublin Confucius Class for Children boasts highly qualified Chinese teachers and excellent teaching facilities. Children are grouped according to their ages and language levels, and the learning process is packed with fun activities with fun learning materials such as drawing, stories, nursery rhymes, poems and games.
